There are two common types of NMR sample tubes used in protein NMR - regular and Shigemi


Regular NMR tubes

Regular NMR tubes come in various geometries, mainly differeing in outer diameter and wall thickness.

Shigemi NMR tubes

Shigemi NMR tubes are designed for work with small sample volumes. They are sold in sets of two parts, a tube and an insert (also called plunger).
